Matchday 21 – Full League Report
Matchday 21 delivered another competitive night across all three divisions of the Ultra Fabrication York Pool League, with a mix of dominant performances and closely fought encounters shaping the latest round of fixtures.
Super League
#UptheBish were one of the standout sides of the night, producing a confident and controlled display to defeat Huntington WMC C 9–3. A strong start laid the foundation, and consistent finishing ensured the home side maintained their advantage throughout.
The biggest result came at Clockhouse, where Clockhouse A delivered a commanding 10–2 victory over Bishopthorpe SC A, underlining their strength with a clinical performance.
Elsewhere, margins were much tighter. Dick Turpin A edged past Clockhouse P 7–5, while Burton Warriors matched that scoreline in their win over Clockhouse Z.
Lighthorseman also secured a solid 7–5 victory against The Hammers in another competitive tie.
Two matches highlighted the balance in the division: Huntington WMC B and Heworth A couldn’t be separated in a 6–6 draw, while Huntington WMC A produced a strong showing to beat York Hospital Club A A 8–4.
Division 2
Division 2 saw a blend of high-scoring wins and evenly matched contests. Clockhouse B were among the top performers with an impressive 9–3 win over Crescent A, setting the pace early and never letting it slip.
The Bay Horse also enjoyed a productive night, securing an 8–4 victory over Rack’Em Up with a consistent team display.
There were narrow wins for Edinburgh Arms A, who overcame The Mitre 7–5, and Heworth B, who saw off The Ozzy Osbournes by the same scoreline.
Three matches ended level, reflecting how tight the division remains. Haxby Sports Bar shared the points with Lawrence 8 Ballers (6–6), while More Mitre and The Hogs Head A also couldn’t be separated. The same scoreline played out between Cross Keys Dunnington and Edinburgh Legs, rounding off a night full of competitive fixtures.
Division 3
There were some emphatic results in Division 3, with Saddle Inn producing one of the performances of the evening in a 9–3 win over York Hospital Club B.
A trio of teams recorded strong 8–4 victories, with The Rec beating The Beagle B, The Hogs Head B overcoming The Beagle A, and The Windmill defeating Clockhouse W.
Close encounters were still a feature, as Crescent B edged past Ainsty A 7–5, while The Hammers Too also secured a 7–5 win against Huntington Sports Club B in another tightly contested match.
