Clockhouse A Crowned Super League Champions After Historic Finish
The curtain has fallen on a remarkable 2025/26 Super League season, with Clockhouse A crowned champions after one of the closest title races the competition has ever witnessed.
For Clockhouse A, however, this title meant more than silverware. Throughout the season, the team carried the memory of their late teammate Simon Newby, who sadly passed away at the end of 2025. Determined to honour their friend, the squad embarked on a campaign that will now forever be remembered as one of the greatest in Super League history.
After 26 weeks of fierce competition, Clockhouse A and #UptheBish could not be separated by points, wins, losses or points difference. Both teams finished the season on 208 points, having won 21 matches, drawn three and lost just two, while each side also ended with an identical +104 points difference.
With the teams level on every major statistic, the championship was ultimately decided by the head-to-head record between the two sides. Having gained the upper hand in their meetings with #UptheBish during the season, Clockhouse A were crowned Super League Champions.
The final night perfectly reflected the quality and determination shown by both sides throughout the campaign. Clockhouse A produced a commanding 9-3 victory over Huntington WMC B, while #UptheBish responded with an equally impressive 9-3 win away at Bishopthorpe SC A. Neither team blinked under pressure, leaving the title to be decided by the finest of margins.
While the final scoreline suggests a comfortable evening for the champions, there were still nervy moments as the match reached its conclusion. With every frame carrying huge significance, Danny Bodden stepped up when it mattered most, winning the final two frames of the night to secure the 9-3 victory. In a season defined by fine margins, his composure under pressure ensured Clockhouse A finished level with #UptheBish before claiming the title on the head-to-head tie-break.
A major contributor to Clockhouse A's success was Dan Potter, whose outstanding performances throughout the season earned him the league's Player of the Season award. Potter topped the final rankings ahead of #UptheBish's Adam Myerscough and signed off the campaign with another unbeaten display on the final night, underlining his importance to the champions.
#UptheBish may have narrowly missed out on the title, but they can look back on a superb season with pride. Led by runner-up Adam Myerscough, they pushed the champions all the way and finished level on points after a season-long battle that will be remembered for years to come.
Behind the leading pair, Huntington WMC C secured a well-deserved third-place finish with 191 points. Their campaign was capped by a dominant 9-3 victory over Dick Turpin A on the final matchday, confirming their place among the league's elite.
At the opposite end of the table, York Hospital Club A were unable to avoid relegation despite ending the season with a 7-5 victory away at Clockhouse P. Their 122-point total left them bottom of the standings and condemned them to life outside the Super League next season.

Haxby Secure Second Place
Haxby Sports Bar entered the final week knowing a strong finish would secure second place and a spot on Judgement Night.
They delivered with a hard-fought 7-5 victory over Crescent A, taking their final tally to 179 points and ensuring they finished as runners-up.
The result means Haxby are now just one match away from promotion to the Super League.
Cross Keys Hold Their Nerve
The race for third place was the major storyline heading into the final week, with The Cross Keys Dunnington, Edinburgh Arms A and Edinburgh Legs all in contention.
Cross Keys rose to the challenge with a crucial 7-5 away victory over Lawrence 8 Ballers.
Those two points proved decisive, as Cross Keys finished on 170 points to claim third place and the final promotion play-off spot.
Their reward is a Judgement Night clash with Haxby Sports Bar, with promotion to the Super League on the line.
Edinburgh Arms and Edinburgh Legs Left Agonisingly Short
For Edinburgh Arms A and Edinburgh Legs, the final standings will be difficult to look at without wondering what might have been.
Edinburgh Arms finished fourth on 169 points, just one point behind Cross Keys, while Edinburgh Legs ended the season fifth on 167 points after suffering a 7-5 defeat to The Ozzy Osbournes on the final night.
With only three points separating third and fifth place, the battle for promotion could hardly have been closer.
Ozzys and Heworth Finish Strong
The Ozzy Osbournes ended their campaign on a high with an excellent 7-5 victory over Edinburgh Legs, a result that ultimately ended Legs' hopes of reaching the promotion play-off.
Meanwhile, Heworth B secured a 7-5 win over More Mitre to round off their season positively and cement a sixth-place finish.
Relegation Battle Heads to Judgement Night
Although the league campaign has ended, the fight for survival remains unresolved.
The Hogs Head A finished 12th with 129 points, while The Mitre ended the season in 13th place on 121 points.
