Mental Health First Aiders
A Mental Health First Aider (MHFAider) is an individual trained to provide initial support and assistance to someone experiencing a mental health issue or crisis, similar to how a regular first aider assists with physical injuries. They are trained to recognize signs of mental ill health, offer reassurance, and help individuals access appropriate professional support.
We are lucky to have a number of MHFA's within the Andover Pool Association.
If you feel like you need someone to talk to, have feelings of anxiety or depression, or substance abuse, you can reach out to the following people: -
Richard Clarke (Andover Golf Club) - 07881 585129
Lesley Rattue (Likely Lasses) - 07815 601505
Please note, MHFA's are not therapists or counselors, they are not trained to diagnose or treat mental health conditions, but they are there to offer support, guidance and bridge the gap until professional help is available.
