INDIVIDUAL ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS RULES

PURPOSE
a) These Rules govern the Individual Achievement Awards presented by the Dartmoor Pool League.
b) The purpose of these awards is to recognise individual player achievement throughout the League season.
c) These awards are separate from League, Team and Competition Championships.
1. BREAK AND DISH AWARD
Eligibility
a) All registered League players shall be eligible.
b) Only achievements recorded during official League fixtures shall count.
c) To be eligible to win the award, a player must have participated in at least fifty percent (50%) of their team’s completed League fixtures during the season.
d) Participation shall be defined as having played at least one (1) frame in a League fixture.
e) Eligibility shall be determined at the conclusion of the regular League season.
Definition
A Break and Dish shall be deemed to have occurred where:
a) A player breaks the rack.
b) The player proceeds to legally pot all of their required balls and the black ball.
c) The opponent does not receive a visit to the table during the frame.
Recording
a) Break and Dishes should be recorded through the League’s approved results system.
b) Both Team Captains are encouraged to verify any Break and Dish claim before submitting results.
c) The Committee may verify any claim using official League records.
Award Winner
a) The eligible player recording the highest number of Break and Dishes during the season shall be declared the Break and Dish Award Winner.
Tie Break Procedure
Where two or more players finish level on Break and Dishes:
a) The tied players shall participate in a 6 Red Shoot-Out on Finals Night.
b) Six (6) red balls shall be placed in a standard triangular rack formation.
c) Players shall compete individually.
d) Timing shall commence when the cue ball is struck for the opening shot.
e) Players shall attempt to legally pot all six (6) red balls in the shortest possible time.
f) Timing shall stop when the sixth red ball is legally potted.
g) The player recording the fastest time shall be declared the Break and Dish Award Winner.
h) Any foul committed during an attempt shall not stop the clock.
i) Where players remain tied, additional Shoot-Out rounds shall be played until a winner is determined.
j) The Committee’s decision regarding the administration of the Shoot-Out shall be final.
2. MOST FRAMES WON AWARD
Eligibility
a) All registered League players shall be eligible.
b) Only League fixture frames shall count.
c) To be eligible to win the award, a player must have participated in at least fifty percent (50%) of their team’s completed League fixtures during the season.
d) Participation shall be defined as having played at least one (1) frame in a League fixture.
e) Eligibility shall be determined at the conclusion of the regular League season.
Calculation
a) One frame win shall be recorded for each League frame won by a player.
b) Team Knockout Cup, Singles, Doubles and Captains Cup matches shall not count.
c) Official League records shall determine all statistics.
Award Winner
a) The eligible player recording the highest number of League frame wins during the season shall be declared the Most Frames Won Award Winner.

3. VERIFICATION
a) The Committee may verify statistics before confirming award winners.
b) Official League records shall determine all statistics.
c) The Committee’s decision shall be final.
4. PRESENTATION
a) Awards shall normally be presented at the League Presentation Event, Finals Night or AGM.
b) The Committee may determine the format of presentation.
5. GENERAL PRINCIPLES
a) These awards exist to recognise individual achievement.
b) Statistics must be derived from official League records.
c) The Committee may determine any matter not specifically covered by these Rules.
d) The Constitution and Governance Document shall take precedence over these Rules.
