UPL KC GFQ and New Session Updates

I hope you all thoroughly enjoyed the 2026 UPUSA KC Open! It was an incredible show with so many of our locals showing out and having BIG moments. KC is the heartbeat of UPUSA and you guys never disappoint.
Ahead of the kickoff of our new league season beginning this fall I wanted to get you guys some exciting news and updates!
Fall Registration
Fall registration is fully open and we have openings in all divisions!
We are also launching new divisions at LSSP on Mondays (8 ball only), Double Play at North on Tuesdays, and Double Play at Empire in Lawrence on Thursday nights!! Get with your operator team Holly Maxon, Tom Watson or Jason Nida to register!
Reminder that ALL NEW captains get their yearly registration covered by us! Captaining is a big responsibility and as a thank you we’re gladly covering your sanction fee!
Don’t forget that junior players aged 16 and up are now eligible to play UPL!
Exciting New Formats!!
We are excited to announce that we are rolling out new formats for Season 3! A dedicated post to each format will be coming out in the proceeding days, but I wanted to highlight the formats and days play will be happening. We are starting mainly in Jackson county, the formats are open to ALL UPL players, we will be expanding to the other counties and venues very soon!
Ladies League- 2nd Saturday of the month, 12pm start time, BSSP, starting Saturday Sept 12th
Champions League – Every other Thursday at BSSP on the 9 footers, 7pm start time, starting Thursday Sept 17th
Scotch Double Teams- 2nd and 4th Friday of the Month, BSSP, 7pm start time, starting Friday September 11th
*Note that you have to be an active member of at least one full team format (8 ball or 10 ball regular team play) to be eligible to play these other formats
Nightly Dues and DIVISION PAYBACKS $$$ !!
Starting next session in the fall, nightly dues will go to $10 per play. BUT the extra dollar per play is coming directly back to all the players in the form of session payouts!!! This will apply to all formats. Divisions with 5 or less teams will pay out to top 2 finishing teams, 6 or more will pay out top three. For example using a full team format:
8 teams = 40 plays per league night = $40 per night to payout pot
$40 x 14 weeks in session = $560 total prize pot
1st $280
2nd $180
3rd $100
These payouts are in addition to the trophies or t shirts that we currently award to division winners!
GFQ Date reminders
Next month we will host our Grand Finals Qualifiers and 4 total teams will be booking their ticket to Grand Finals at Harrahs Cherokee in Cherokee, North Carolina Nov 2nd-7th!
We will be sending 2 teams for 8 ball and 2 teams for 10 ball. Each team will receive $6000 in travel assistance, GFQ winning team trophies, and semi-custom JamUp Jerseys!!!
10 Ball GFQ BSSP Friday August 21st-Sunday August 23rd.
8 Ball GFQ BSSP Friday August 28th- Sunday August 30th
Both GFQs will be an all weekend affair with the first round starting Friday at 7pm and the Finals starting at 6pm on Sunday evening.
KC is at a BIG advantage as the GFQs are being held in one of the only rooms in the country that has Brunswick Tournament Elites, which is what GF’s will be held on in Cherokee!
