Competition Format
Ultimate Pool Barry Singles Knockout
16-player singles competition played across three Monday evenings at the Park Hotel, Barry.
Qualifying Night 1 – Monday 5 October
8 players compete, with the final 2 players progressing to Finals Night.
Qualifying Night 2 – Monday 12 October
8 players compete, with the final 2 players progressing to Finals Night.
Finals Night – Monday 19 October
The 4 qualified players compete in the Semi-Finals, followed by the Final to crown the Ultimate Pool Barry Singles Knockout Champion.
Match Rules & Format
- International Rules
- 30-minute match clock (semi finals and finals will be 50 minute match clock)
- 30-second shot clock
- One shot-clock extension permitted per player, per frame
- Single-elimination knockout format
- Alternate breaks
- All matches played at the Park Hotel, Barry
16 players. Two qualifying nights. Four finalists. One champion.
Entry Criteria
Open to all players. You do not need to currently play in an Ultimate Pool league or be affiliated with any particular league or organisation to enter.
Entry is limited to 16 players, with places confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis upon payment of the £10 entry fee. The competition will be played under Blackball Rules, and players of all abilities are welcome.
