the handicap system is 'net start' meaning the software will calculate the difference between the two handicaps and apply a start based upon the difference, unless one of the players is on a 'minus', in which case it will start with the handicap score

so for example, if the handicap see's a player with 4 vs a player with 2, the match will start at 2-0

of the handicap sees a player with 4 vs a player with -1 it will be 4-0 with the -1 player starting from -1.
