League Update - June 2025

Hi All,

We’re now almost halfway through the season, and both divisions are shaping up nicely with some tight battles across the tables.

Thanks again to all of you for keeping the league going and competitive—it really shows week in, week out.

Turning to the Charity Cup, we’re moving into the final group stage match. Thank you for all the donations and support so far—it’s been great to see.

As requested, we’re currently looking at introducing a Plate Knockout for teams that don’t qualify for the main knockout stages. The aim is to give everyone more games and keep teams involved while the quarter-finals and semi-finals are being played — watch this space!

And finally, a reminder that the Charity Cup Final will take place on Friday 3rd October at the Starkie Arms, followed by the Season Presentation Night and a live band. Please encourage your players to come along—especially as this is the first season we’ve introduced cash prizes for Merit winners, Clearances, and League champions/runners-up. Any unclaimed prizes will go back into the league fund.
