Winter 26/27 Season

Welcome

A warm welcome to all new captains, vice captains and teams joining the league this season. It's great to see the league continuing to grow season by season, and that's down to the commitment of every team, captain and player who turns up week in, week out. Thanks to all our returning teams for your continued support, and to the venues who host us every Monday. We're looking forward to another competitive and enjoyable season.

Charity Cup Final and Presentation Night
This year's presentation is being hosted at the Read Con Club on Friday 9th October. The Charity Cup final starts at 6:30pm, followed by one of Benidorm's best comedians, Albi Senior (not for the easily offended!). Once Albi has finished, we'll move straight into the Winter 25/26 and Summer 2026 presentations.

Please come along and support the night, and encourage your players to attend. A lot of work goes into events like this, with awards made for players and trophies bought and sent off for engraving, so please make sure your players come and collect their awards.

As mentioned previously, we've now moved to cash prizes for the league winners and runners-up, and the singles and doubles winners and runners-up. Players must be there on the night to collect their prize money. If they don't attend, the money goes back into the league. For division winners and runners-up, a minimum of four players from the team must be present to collect the prize. If the team doesn't attend, or attends with fewer than four players, the same applies.

Fixtures and Match Nights
All league fixtures for the new season are now available - Fixtures

We're continuing with the 5-2-5 format and the same international ruleset. A reminder that food is compulsory on league match nights, but not for knockout or cup games.

RackEmApp
All new captains and vice captains should have received an email inviting them to register with RackEmApp. If you haven't, please get in touch via the WhatsApp group or message me directly.

The app is personal to your team and is used to submit your player selections for each frame and enter your scores on match nights. It also shows your fixtures, team stats, tables, competitions and live scores on the night. The website covers the whole league and anyone can view it. If any of your players would like an app account without captain's rights, just let the league know.

Knockout Competitions
Please see the links below for all of our knockout competitions this season. The team or player drawn at home is responsible for arranging the fixture. All preliminary rounds must be played by Monday 9th November.

For the Team Knockout, let the league know and we can schedule the preliminary round within your league fixtures. Once that's complete, the remaining rounds will be played on set Mondays.

Refereeing and Sportsmanship
When you're refereeing a frame, please help guide players on what they can and can't do when asked. Avoid arguments, and if you're ever in doubt, ask the committee. We're not playing for a pot of gold. This is a pool league that's here to support the venues in our area and give players the chance to get out on a Monday night and enjoy a game of pool with a beer!

Good luck to everyone this season, and if you have any questions, please ask.
