Coton Sports were on cue to dent the Lucky Break's title aspirations were a well earned 8 - 7 victory at fortress Lib. Captain Mike Parry in the pot zone with 3 wins, while Shaun Johnstone & Karl Hinchen weighed in with 2 wins apiece. Jack Schofield starred for the Break with a pot-trick. The Royal Oak and Gurkha Corner played out a blinder of a game, both team playing some top draw pool. As the match ebbed one side and ten the other it finally looked like a Gurkha win as they led 7 - 5. But the Oak reeled off the last 3 frames to nick it 8 - 7, Steve Fox potting the all important 15th frame. Steve Shepherd had earlier knocked in a sublime reverse dish for TGC. Coton Cuemen were this week biggest winners potting an 11 - 3 victory over the out of sorts Coton Gloves. Ian Jones and Rod Brown the top Cuemen with 3 wins each while Brandon Walker pocketed a pot-trick for the Gloves.
