Singles title fits like a Glove for McEnery

Hot potting Steve McEnery took the League Singles title beating the unlucky Leo Frankin 3 - 2 in an epic final. The Oakey Cokeys cueman was in sparkling form throughout the afternoon as he out potted Craig Cheneler (3-1) in the quarter finals and Alan Lockton (3-1) in the semi finals. In the final he raced into a 2 – 0 before Leo hit back to level the match at 2 apiece. But ‘The Glove’ wouldn’t be denied and he took the decider with a fine clearance. The unlucky Franklin had also been playing some excellent pool during the day beating Daz Lee (3-1) in the last 8 before taking out Chris Lord (3-1) in the last 4.
