As the FSPL season reaches its climax, here’s a breakdown of what each team needs to secure titles, promotion or survival across the divisions, It’s set up for a dramatic finish across all three divisions. Plenty still to play for at both ends of the tables!
Premier League
Title Race
- Hotshots Meridian - 8 points clear. wins from their next two games will seal their first league title.
Next up: Greyhound - who are chasing third, so not a straightforward task. - Sun over the Meridian - Need to win against already relegated Falconwood A and hope Hotshots slip up to keep any title hopes alive.
Third Place Battle
- Greyhound - Victory over Hotshots would greatly strengthen their hold on third.
- New Eltham Kings - victory over the Footscray Bears will push them either into third or close to the Greyhound, should they beat the Hotshots.
Relegation Battle
- Pickwick Terrace vs Eltham Hill - a huge head-to-head, the loser could be heading down.
Rankings
- Richard Chapman - Needs just 1 win to secure the rankings for the second consecutive season.
First Division
Title & Promotion
- Plumstead Radical - 16 points clear, a big win over Plumstead Potters should confirm the title and promotion back to the Premier League.
- Terrace Sharpshooters - 10 points clear in second, a win over Bellegrove Bullets should seal second place and promotion.
Tight Top-Three Race
Only 6 points separate 3rd–5th:
- The Belfry vs Blackheath Sports Club - massive clash that could define the final top three.
- Bellegrove Social Club - can push into the top three with a win over Falconwood B, depending on other results.
Rankings
- Jeff Laporte vs Leighton Aston
- Leighton must win all remaining matches and hope Jeff loses at least one
Second Division
Title Decider
- Meridian Ultras - 3 points clear with a game in hand, beat New Eltham Royals and they win the league with a match to spare.
- New Eltham Royals - Playing their final game, a win or even a close defeat should secure second place.
Third & Promotion
- Plumstead Common - Face bottom side Woolwich Eagles, a win should secure a top-three finish and promotion.
Rankings
- Ben McCarthy - Needs to win both remaining games to claim the rankings for the first time.
