Weekly Update 3
Winter Season Update – Week 3
All teams used the app for the first time which was really good to see and shows the progress we have made and how easy to use the app is, the only issue is adding/approving each match, this should be added as soon as the match is completed.
We recommend teams still keep copies of the paper sheet as a backup in case of:
· App issues
· Poor signal or lack of data/wi-fi
Any Team or Captain struggling with the app should reach out to Simon as soon as possible for a guide on the app, or ask the opposing team, any team in this situation may use paper sheets until comfortable with the app.
Competitions Update
Congratulations to all the teams who won in round 1 of the Pairs, round 2 has been drawn along with round 1 of the Lower League Singles.
London Champion of Champions
Good Luck to the Plumstead Radical who are representing the FSPL this weekend at the London Champion of Champions.
Player Access to the App:
· Ask your Captain to invite you via the app.
· You’ll need to create an account using your email and password.
Players can be registered via the app at any time, but still require Committee approval to ensure fairness, as per league rules.
Reporting Results - Competitions

Important: If you forget to complete the match in the app:
· Your result may not be recorded.

Contacting the Committee – New Guidelines
All members of the Committee have jobs and are not always able to respond to phone calls during the day or after a certain time so we would like to implement the following guidelines:
· General advice: Text/WhatsApp your Divisional Secretary or the General Secretary
· Player registration or status: Text/WhatsApp the General Secretary (call only if urgent for same-day play)
· Match night issues: Call your Divisional Secretary (they may have a slight delay if playing)
· App issues: Text/WhatsApp the General Secretary (call only if urgent for same-day play)
Sponsorship Opportunities
We're actively seeking sponsors for the League and the Website.
We currently have two sponsors online. Interested? Contact Simon to discuss sponsorship packages.
Refereeing - Foul Breaks
After a foul on the break, it is the referee’s duty to advise the incoming player of cue ball placement:
· If the white is potted, the call is: Ball in hand from baulk (i.e. behind the line).
· If the white leaves the table, the call is: Ball in hand (anywhere on the table).
The referee may call this at any time prior to the cue ball being struck. This is not considered coaching - it is the correct procedure.
If you are unsure or need clarity please contact any member of the Committee.
