Annual General Meeting 2026

Meeting Date: 02 February 2026

Time: 7:10 PM

Location: Pewter Pot, Rotherham

Attendees:

  • Daniel Redfern - League Chairman

Agenda:

  • Opening Remarks and Welcome.

  • Thanks to all captains and their cooperation throughout the previous season.
  • 2025 season fees brief.

  • 2026 Season start date confirmed.

  • Change proposals.

  • Secretary addressed delegates over time changes for teams to be submitted, along with the correct way of registering players to remove ability of duplicates.
  • Secretary advises Captains to double check before locking in players on score cards, as they will not be changed once done.
  • Delegates informed of who the additional committee members are, being Ricky Potts, Steve Nixon, David Bacon & Ged Ronan.

Proposals:

  • To implement Blackball Rules. (Voted Against)
  • Premier League to use Blackball rules, while others remain with existing rule set. (Voted Against)
  • Players to "Lag" for the break, rather than existing coin toss. (Voted Against)
  • Match format to change to 7 Singles/2 Doubles. (Voted Against)
  • Match format to change to 10 Singles. (Voted Against)
  • Implement the "Skill Shot" - Ability to pot opposition colour group as long as own group is potted. (Voted against)
  • Remove restriction on Player Registrations, later altered to final 4 weeks. (In-favour)
  • Increase player registration fee to £5 for high payouts across all divisions, and allow option for free entry into the Singles KO, U21's or Over65's KO. (In favour)
  • Knockout Semi-finals and Finals to be played at an agreed neutral venue if a team involved is homed at the sponsored venue. If agreement cannot be reached, committee will decide the hosting venue. (In favour)
  • Individual player trophies's for league winners, KO's and POY. (Voted Against)

Changes:

  • First 5 from both teams are to be submitted by 8:15pm , with the remaining 4 matches by 8:45pm.
  • Captains to double check before locking players in as they will not be changed later.
  • Altered League Reg section 14 to accomodate new U21's and Over65's KO's.
  • Altered League Reg section 14 regarding minimum games required to be played, this has been removed due to free entry into Singles KO.
  • Altered League Reg section 3 to remove restriction on player registrations until remaining 4 weeks of the season.
  • Altered League Reg section 7 regarding proposals, now able to propose throughout the season.
  • Altered League Reg section 1 to accommodate fines/point deductions and warnings around unsportsmanlike behaviour.
  • Altered League Reg section 2 to accommodate fines on late score sheet entry.
  • Altered League Reg section 3 to accommodate point deductions and player punishments on playing unregistered.
