Entry Criteria

1. Eligibility

1.1 Entry is open to players aged 18 and over.
1.2 Players must be able to attend matches on Tuesday evenings.

2. Registration

2.1 The league is limited to a maximum of 12 players.
2.2 Places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
2.3 All players must register with the league organiser Jasmine prior to the league start date.

3. Entry Fee

3.1 The entry fee for the league is £30 per player.
3.2 Entry fees must be paid in full on or before the first scheduled match.
3.3 A player’s place in the league is not guaranteed until payment has been received.

4. Player Commitment

4.1 Players are expected to attend and complete their scheduled match each Tuesday where possible.
4.2 Players must make reasonable efforts to complete any rearranged matches within the available catch-up week.
4.3 Failure to attend matches regularly may result in removal from the league at the organiser’s discretion.

5. Agreement to Rules

5.1 By entering the league, players agree to abide by:

• The Chelmsford Social Club Singles Pool League Rules

• International Rules of Pool

• Decisions made by the league organiser

Rules

League Structure

• Maximum of 12 players
• Players will be split into 2 groups of 6
• All matches played under International Rules
• Players will play every opponent in their group twice (home and away)
• Each match consists of 8 frames

Points System

• 1 point per frame won
• 1 bonus point for winning the match
• No bonus points are awarded for Break & Dishes or Reverse Dishes

Qualification for Knockout Stages

Automatic Qualification

• The top 2 players from each group automatically qualify for the Quarter Finals

Preliminary Knockout Round

• Players finishing 3rd to 6th in each group will enter a Preliminary Knockout Round
• The Preliminary Knockout draw will be randomised
• Winners progress to the Quarter Finals

Quarter Finals

• Quarter Final fixtures will be determined by a random draw

Semi Finals

• Semi Final fixtures will be determined automatically from the Quarter Final bracket

Final

• Winners of the Semi Finals will progress to the Final

Prize Fund

Total Prize Fund: £360

🥈 Runner Up – £80
🥉 Losing Semi-Finalist – £30
🥉 Losing Semi-Finalist – £30
🎱 Break & Dish Pot – £70

Break & Dish Pot

• A separate £70 Break & Dish Pot will run throughout the season
• Successful Break & Dishes and Reverse Dishes qualify for the pot
• No league points are awarded for Break & Dishes or Reverse Dishes
• At the end of the season, the pot will be divided equally between all qualifying Break & Dishes and Reverse Dishes recorded during league matches

Example

If the season produces:

• 4 Break & Dishes
• 3 Reverse Dishes

There would be 7 qualifying achievements

£70 ÷ 7 = £10 per achievement

Each qualifying Break & Dish or Reverse Dish would earn £10

League Positions

League positions will be determined by:

1. Total Points
2. Frame Difference
3. Head-to-Head Record
4. Play-Off (if required)

Conduct

• All players are expected to conduct themselves in a sporting and respectful manner at all times
• Any disputes will be referred to the league organiser
• The organiser's decision will be final in all matters relating to the league and competition format.
