International Rules

The Chelmsford Social Club Singles Pool League is a competitive 12-player league played over 12 weeks, with matches taking place every Tuesday night. Players will face every opponent once in a structured round-robin format, playing 7 frames per match under International Rules.

Points are awarded for frames won, with bonus points available for match wins, creating an exciting and competitive league table throughout the season.

With cash prizes for the top three players and limited spaces available, the league offers a great opportunity for players to enjoy regular competitive pool in a friendly club environment.

Entry Criteria

1. Eligibility

1.1 Entry is open to players aged 18 and over.
1.2 Players must be able to attend matches on Tuesday evenings.

2. Registration

2.1 The league is limited to a maximum of 12 players.
2.2 Places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
2.3 All players must register with the league organiser Jasmine prior to the league start date.

3. Entry Fee

3.1 The entry fee for the league is £30 per player.
3.2 Entry fees must be paid in full before the first scheduled match.
3.3 A player’s place in the league is not guaranteed until payment has been received.

4. Player Commitment

4.1 Players are expected to attend and complete their scheduled match each Tuesday where possible.
4.2 Players must make reasonable efforts to complete any rearranged matches within the available catch-up week.
4.3 Failure to attend matches regularly may result in removal from the league at the organiser’s discretion.

5. Agreement to Rules

5.1 By entering the league, players agree to abide by:

  • International Rules of Pool

  • Decisions made by the league organiser

Rules

League Format

  • The league is limited to a maximum of 12 players.

  • Each player will play every other player once during the season.

  • Matches will be played every Tuesday evening.

  • Each match will consist of 7 frames.

  • An additional week will be scheduled at the end of the season for any catch-up matches.

  • All matches are played under International Rules.

Points System

Points will be awarded as follows:

  • 1 point per frame won

  • 1 bonus points for a match win

League Table

League positions will be determined in the following order:

  1. Total points

  2. Frame difference

  3. Head-to-head result

  4. Play-off (if required)

Match Attendance

  • Matches should be played on the scheduled Tuesday match night.

  • If a match cannot be played on the scheduled date, players must arrange a suitable alternative time.

  • Any outstanding matches should be completed during the allocated catch-up week.

Conduct

  • Players are expected to display good sportsmanship and respect at all times.

  • All matches will follow International Rules.

  • Any disputes will be resolved by the league organiser, whose decision will be final.
