Ian Stephenson on cue to lift Grand Masters crown.

Well done to Royaal Oak cue-man Ian Stephenson who took the Nuneaton Pool Grand Masters title with a 4 - 3 victory over the unlucky Colin Richards of Chpel End Libs in the final. There were flashes of brilliance from both players during the match, I should also add there were moments that both would like to forget, but overall it was a genuinely great match to watch. Earlier in the evening Ian came through a tough semi final with Alex Green of the Flagnificent 7 while Colin's last 4 encounter with the Oakey Cokey's Dave Edwards was an absolute classic, Colin eventually running out a 3 - 2 winner.

On the league front there were 3 matches played all ending in a draw. In the Premeir League Mighty Oak only lead once in their match with Coton Bandits as the Henry Street potters tried to secure victory. But the Oak took the final 2 frames of the match to nick the draw and probably secure the title for another season. In Division One both Atherstone Cons 'B' and Lucky Buddhas lost the chance to close the gap to the leaders with both being held to a draw. Buddha's will be the more disappointed though as they lead 6 - 2 in their match with Oakey Cokey. Greig Schofield break dishing for Lucky while Keith Wilson knocked in a reverse dish for the Oak. 

Registration for next season will open shortly, also their are a few proposals to vote on before we can break off.
