Chapel End Libs 'B' pot semi final spot
There will be a new name on the Mark Storer Memorial Trophy this season, his former team mates will be trying hard to make it Chapel End Libs ‘B’ and they knocked in an impressive 7 – 3 victory at the Midland Railway. Chris Fannng and Nathan Lawley on cue with 2 wins apiece the Libs. Oakey Cokey got the better of Coton Old Boys despite the efforts of the Fred Starkey who produced some scintillating pool for the Henry Street potters. Gurkha Rejects out potted Lucky Buddha’s 7 – 3 while Fox Inn potted a great 7 – 4 win at Atherstone Cons, Steve Kirkland staring for the Fox Inn. Pi55 Head Corner, White Lion, Corner House and the Wheatsheaf make up the last 4 of the Division Two Cup. Ryan Hurn the hero for the Corner House as he potted the all important frame winner while both White Lion and Pi55 head Corner eased through. The Premier League Cup holders Mighty Oak were given a stern test by Flagnificent 7 before running out 7 – 4 victors. Vivek Makh knocking in yet another break dish for the Oak boys. Atherstone Cons needed to pot the final 3 frames through Neil Randle, Chris Bampton and Mash Comley to edge the Travellers 7 – 5 while Chapel End ‘A’ and the Atack also had a battle royale ending with the Libs Danny Evans holding his nerve to pot the winning frame.
