Travellers continue march back to Premier
Division One leaders The Travellers were given a stern test by the Gurkha Rejects before running out 9 - 3 winners and stay on course for a return to the Premier League at the fist time of asking. Flagnificent Seven were pushed all the way by a spirited CJ's side, needing a last frame win from Captain Dave Green to take the match. The Fox Inn and Chapel End Libs 'b' shared the points in a proper ding dong battle while the Coniston Tavern 'A' out potted Atherstone Cons 'B' 8 - 4. Both matches in Division Two ended all square with leaders Midland Railway sharing the points with Oakey Cokey and Party @ the Hearty doing like wise with Coniston Tavern 'B'. Premier League leaders Mighty Oak had to be on top of their game to edge pasted a determined Newdigate Sports 7 - 5, Callumn Mulhern with a double break dish making 3 in 3 frames, not sure that's ever been done before, someone will tell me they have I'm sure. Coton Bandits continue there recent good run beating Chapel End Lib's 'A' 7 - 5, James Willis & Karl Knight knocking in beak dishes for the Bandits. Elsewhere there were wins for Atherstone Cons 'A' and Atack Snooker.
