Division Two's leading pair met this week sharing the points in a barn storming match. The Midland Railway raced into a 4 - 1 as they looked to leap frog the Rose & Thorns into top spot. But the Coton Roaders are enjoying a great season and fired back with 2 quick frames to cut the deficit to just 1 frame, Steven Fox & Matt Guy put the Mid on the hill but Clayton Harper, Dan Hardy and Chantelle Green potted the last 3 frames to level the match. Oakey Cokey closed the gap to the leaders thanks to a hard fought 8 - 4 victory over the Wheatsheaf while the Lucky Poke n Hope were this weeks biggest winners with an 11 - 1 victory over the Kingswood, Joshua Hockley stopping the dry rub. The top 2 also met in the Premier League with Chapel End Libs tasting defeat for the first time this season as the Mighty Oak turned on the after burners to pot an 8 - 4 victory. The Libs did win the break dish count though with Ian Jones potting one and the inform Sam Baginskis knocking in his 4th of the season. Coton Bandits close in on the leaders thanks to a terrific 9 - 3 win over Coton Snooker while Dan Vince inspired the Gurkha Corner as they beat the Lucky Buddha's 8 - 4. Division One front runners The Travellers went 9 - 0 up against the Coton Old Boys and must of been thinking of a full house but the Old Boys took the final 3 frames. Dane Faulconbridge, Dec Goring and Alex Green were on cue for the Flagnificent as they out potted Atherstone Cons 'B' 9 - 3. A opening frame reverse dish from Andy Smith set Chapel end Libs 'B' on their way to a 8 - 4 win over CJ's and finally the Coniston Tavern 'A' were in fine form beating Gurkha Rejects 8 - 4.
