Now that we’ve had a few weeks to settle into the new season, I just want to say a big thank you to all of you for getting to grips with and using the new app. The feedback has been great, and it’s brilliant to see so many of you using it so smoothly already.

Fridays do come with a bit of unnecessary admin time for the Committee though at the moment, which could easily be fixed if everyone makes sure to complete those last few steps in the app before leaving the venues. We're always happy to help with problems that crop up, but when scores aren’t submitted or approved properly it means extra chasing and checking at our end, and that time soon adds up.

So, just a little reminder of the steps to follow on match nights, to keep everything running perfectly:

After each frame:

• Home captains submit the score 

• Away captains approve the score

At the end of the match:

• Home captains submit the final scores to officially end the match

• Away captains approve the final scores once submitted

• And finally, don’t forget to choose a Player of the Match for the opposite team. It’s a simple dropdown in the app and a lovely way to recognise good play and sportsmanship.

If captains can remind each other to get those last few steps done before everyone shakes hands and heads home, that would be perfect.
