Singles League 2026/27

o Matches are to be played to International rules with the exception of the shot clock in league matches.
In league matches the home player will break off first and then alternate afterwards.
For the Knockout Cup competition the first break off is decided by a lag then alternate afterwards.
o The home player may choose the venue for their home match within 15 miles from the Orchard Gardens North Walsham unless both players are in agreement of a venue further than this distance, please use the RackEmApp mobile app to score your matches or if you have any issues with this then just take a picture of your final score and message on the group chat or directly to Marcus Allen via Messenger or text/WhatsApp to 07734652029 and please ensure
names, dates, venues, divisions etc are very clear to read.
If a player wishes to play their home matches on their own table then this is fine as long as both players are happy with this.
o Frame costs at any venue split between players.
o It is the responsibility of the home player to make first contact to arrange their match within the first 14 days of the month of that fixture, if the home player has not made contact by this time then an extension cannot be applied to that match (this also includes the availability of an extension for the away player). PLAYERS MUST SEND MESSAGES TO ARRANGE THEIR
MATCHES AND NOT JUST TALK TO EACH OTHER ABOUT IT AS PROOF CANNOT BE GIVEN OF THIS WHEN AWARDING WALKOVERS. PLAYERS WHO JUST TALK ABOUT ARRANGING MATCHES AND ARE NOT PLAYED BY THE LAST DAY OF THAT SCHEDULED MATCH MONTH WILL HAVE A 10-0 WALKOVER AWARDED TO THE AWAY PLAYER. When arranging a match players must give ample notice with suggested dates and times to play that match, for example, trying to arrange matches
for the same day is not ample time.
o A 10 day match extension may be requested by either player for a scheduled match, this may only be requested before the last day of the month for any scheduled match and the player requesting the extension must show proof by screenshot of messages sent attempting to arrange their match dated on or before the 14th of that match month, this will give the players an extra 10 days into the next month to play their match. The extension request MUST be made by message to Marcus Allen on messenger, text or WhatsApp on 07734652029.
Extensions will not be available for the last month of the league matches and any part of the cup competition.
All players are eligible to have a maximum of 3 match extensions throughout the season.
o Under absolutely no circumstances can matches be postponed further than the month they are due to be played or within the extension period if an extension has been requested, if any match is unplayed by the end of the match month or extension period then the match will be awarded as a 10-0 walkover win to the player who can provide evidence of more effort to arrange their match.
o If any player fails to play 3 scheduled matches within the season then they will be withdrawn from the league.
o League matches will all be best of 10 frames and all frames to be played.
o Scoring system for the league will be 3 points for a win, and 0 for a loss and 1 point for a draw. If any league positions are still tied at the end of the normal scheduled matches of the season and affects top 3 and bottom 3 places then a ONE MATCH PLAYOFF (WHICH MUST BE ARRANGED AND PLAYED AT THE ORCHARD GARDENS) will be played which will be a race to 6 frames.
o League table positions will be decided in order by the following.
POINTS (Players with the most points will be at the highest position).
FRAMES WON (Players on the same points but higher frames won will be at a higher position regardless of frames lost).
FRAMES LOST (Players on the same points and same frames won then the lowest frames lost will be at the higher position).
This may may or may not show correctly on the RackEmApp website so please keep this in mind.
o At the end of the season the top 3 players will be promoted to the next division above and the bottom 3 players will be relegated to the next division below.
All results will be on the RackEmApp website.
o The 'Golden Break' and ‘Golden Duck’ rules will be in operation throughout the league and cup so if you pot the 8-ball off the break you win the frame, alternatively, if you pot the 8-ball and the cue ball off the break you lose the frame.
o Players are required to play 2 matches per month as per the fixtures announced on RackEmApp. Matches can be played in advance if required, for example if a player is going on holiday etc. Also, if a player plays a match early, for example, they play their February match in January then they must still play their 2 scheduled January matches.
o In your messages with each other arranging matches please make your availability very clear to your opponent, i.e. let them know your working hours, other league commitments, holidays etc, so there are no grey areas for confusion.
o All fixtures will be available on the nwpsl.leaguerepublic.com and all players will be sent their fixtures and opponents contact details by message so please print them out or save them to your phone or other mobile device for reference.
o If a player withdraws from the league, all results for that player will be voided back to the nearest completed half season so if a player plays and completes 7 matches in a division of 8 players then those played results will stand and any following results voided. Players who withdraw from the league are automatically demoted to the division below for their next season if they return to the league.
o If a player does not turn up at all for a previously agreed match, or cancels the match less than 1 hour before the agreed start time, the player who has turned up will be awarded a 10-0 walkover win (the player who has turned up must show evidence to prove this before being awarded the win).
o If a player is late for an arranged match by 30 minutes or longer the match will be awarded to the player who has turned up before this time, (again, proof of the time turned up if late will be needed to award these matches).
o If a specific match date and start time is not confirmed and accepted by both players by message and the match ends up not being played then both players will be required to rearrange that match within the match month or extension period if there is an extension in place for that match.
o All players are expected to act in a sportsmanlike manner at all times so please be respectful to the league, players and venue staff. In the event of a dispute during the match you can always pause the match and contact myself for any rules clarification before continuing and the decision of the league organisers will be final. Players who are and/or get barred from The Castaways Bacton will not be able to participate in the Singles League and will be removed from the league
immediately with no refund given as Cup Semi Finals and Final will take place at The Castaways Bacton.
o Prize money for the league divisions will be awarded to the top 3 players in each division split £80 to the winner, £40 to the runner up and £20 to third place.
o Prize money for the Cup competition will be awarded to the winner £70 and runner up £30 (This is based on a division of 8 players).
o Your league fee will be £20 per player for all divisions.
A cup competition will run alongside the league and this will be randomly drawn at the beginning and will follow that draw to the end (Not redrawn each round) and will be races to 6 frames up to and including the quarter finals.
Both semi finals for the cup competition will be on a 1 hour match clock and shot clock and races to 7 frames.
The final for the cup competition will be on a 1 hour and 30 minute match clock and a race to 9 frames.
In both the semi finals and final, if the match clock ends when both players are tied on frames then the frame that is in play at the end of the match clock will be played to a finish deciding the winner.
If the frame scores are different at the end of the match clock then the player ahead in frames at the end of the match clock will be the winner.

o On all other matters, the league organisers decision is final, and the right is reserved to amend these rules as appropriate and without notice.
