Week Two Wrap Up

Hello All,

Well, what a night! From internet issues to displays losing sync, there's plenty to work on from a technical aspect.  As for game play and rules, it was a smooth night.  There were some questions that came up that I would like to clarify with everyone.

  1. 1 - The extension button and time added - The 30-second extension ONLY adds to the shot clock.  Match clock continues to count down during the match.  When there is only 40 seconds left in the match and 20 seconds on the shot clock and the extension is used, the shot clock will go to 50 seconds and match clock will be at 40 Seconds.  The player does not have to shoot. They can let the 40-second match clock run out and end the match.
  2.  2- Coaching called or Extension - When a player that is 450 and/or below (or the coach) calls for the extension, coach has the full amount of shot clock time to assist player.  Player still needs to complete the shot prior to the shot clock running out.  If player calls for the extension right away after a shot, the shot would reset to 30 and the extension would give them 60 seconds to get coaching and complete the shot.
  3.  3- Winning team puts up first. If the match ended in a tie, the winner of the previous match will put up.
  4.  4- On the Break, THE BREAKER CANNOT WIN OR LOSE, including if the player miscues & then attempts to stop the cue ball to prevent it from hitting the rack.

Please reach out with any additional questions. Looking forward to Week 3!
