Teams can play from venues within a 30 minute drive time of Frank's Pool Club in Hatfield. If you are unsure about whether your venue would be eligible to play from, get in touch with Claire on the above link and the league committee will advise accordingly.
The league runs on Tuesday evenings and plays to International Rules. Matches start at 8pm and the current match format is 4 sets of 4 singles - a minimum of 4 players are needed for a match night. The season runs from September to May, exact dates to be confirmed once all teams have registered and fixtures have been created. Registration closes on Sunday 17th August.
Last season we had 4 divisions, each with 8 teams. We are anticipating around 9 teams per division for the coming season.
The season consists of:
- home and away league matches against all teams in the division
- team cup (automatic entry for all registered teams)
- team trophy for the teams that don't reach the quarter finals of the team cup (automatic entry)
- additional end of season competitions (entry fees applicable) including Open Singles, Ladies Singles, Divisional Singles, Doubles, Mixed Doubles and 3 Player Team
The registration fee is £75 per team and is payable directly to the league bank account (details given during the registration process) by the registration deadline of 17th August.
