Macclesfield Pool League Competition Draw Sheet
Lucky Dip Pairs 2025 (Christmas Edition) | Final
View Full Competition Detail

This competition was created to encourage newer or less experienced players to be in with a chance to win a competition which is normally dominated by the upper echelon players. Think of it as a Pro-Am competition like in golf.

Once all entries have been counted, for example, 36 people have entered, I will go through and select each player based on their skill level and where they play in the league and categorize them into Group A or Group B.

I will then run a randomised draw of 1 player from each group to create the "Lucky Dip Pairs"

This will be like any other knockout competition and the format remains the same starting with group stages then go through to a knockout.

1 point per frame, 1 point for the match, 0 points for dish/reverse dish

Best two teams out of each group will go through as well as the 2 best 3rd place teams based off points. If there is a tie, then it will go to frames won. If there is still a tie, it will go to a 6 red shootout.
