Evening ladies and gents, thought I’d get a message out to confirm that the long awaited Wilpshire Masters will take place this Friday starting with the draw at 19.00.

Entries will be limited to 16, to ensure that there are no Byes and it is a straight competition to the final, but we’ll see how registrations go and decide on the evening.

Entry fee is £10 per player and the pot will be decided on the night, with a prize for first and second place.  Please ensure you bring cash.  Bank transfers will not be accepted.

Monday night pub pool rules (UK):

• Potting the first coloured ball decides reds or yellows including the colour down down on break.
• Clear all 7 of your colours, then pot the black to win.
• Fouls (pot white, hit wrong ball first) give the opponent 2 shots.
• After a foul the opponent gets a free shot first (can hit any ball).
• Cue ball after a foul goes behind the line or can be left in play and is a free ball on any colour with two shots carried if potted.
• ⁠hitting backwards off a foul is allowed
• Potting the black early = you lose.
• ⁠black goes in off the break, re-rack
• ⁠referee must be present for each game (to be mutually chosen by both players)

Any disputes on rules or shots on the evening that cannot be solved mutually or by the referee can be referred to @⁨Tom Williams⁩ (landlord) for a final decision.  If you’re unsure when playing, feel free to ask before you take your shot.

Really excited to see everyone next Friday.  The last one was a brilliant success and great to see young and old players alike all enjoying themselves.
